Default Difficult 99 hand against a limp RR

This one was awkward.

Villian as been unremarkable so far. I don't have many hands on him but he appears to be a typical loose passive.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) http://216.119.70.224/converter/hhconverter.pl

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls, 3 folds, Hero raises, UTG 3-bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (6.40 SB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG checks.

Turn: (3.20 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG raises, Hero calls.

River: (7.20 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 9.20 BB

I would lead the flop and see what he does. I also would consider capping PF.

I may play this the same way, but I'm not sure what either of us would expect to be ahead of when he raises the turn, and if we were ahead then, I think we would have lost any edge by the time the river brings a K and completes flush draw. I do agree, though, with capping preflop.

I'd check the turn again, and call down from there.

Why? I can't fold to a raise, and I want to see a showdown.

if he is passive like you say he is, what hands is he raising you on the turn with after limp reraising? i can't really seem him raising the turn with air, and i can't really think of many hands you're ahead of (88?). given your read, i bet/fold the turn. when you call and see the Kh river and checkcall, is there anything he could have that you are beating?

The turn call is hard, but I think I make it against an unknown.

The K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] just kills you on the river. You can't call.

I fold to the turn raise. I think you're crushed, especially if you've got a read that he's passive.
