I wasn't planning on going, but maybe I shall now. Ash, make sure you call ahead, this past Saturday it was crazy packed. Huge lists all night, and 20+ ppl on the list for baby NL even when I left at 2:30am.

Most likely 10/20. Maybe 3/6 if I decide to drink and sit with my buddy Jason.

Default Mini Trip Report - Trump, IN last night

After a later than expected sushi dinner (at Coast, highly recommended), Jason and I headed out to Trump. I called ahead and put him on the 3/6 list and myself on 10/20 and 6/12. We arrive ~35 minutes later and I realize that I have to stool. Let me just say that the prospect of the riverboat stool was not very enticing, but turned out better than expected.

We enter the room and I am ~20th on the 6/12 list, ~4th on the 10/20 and Jason is ~10th on the 3/6. The room has been consistently packed since they expanded the number of tables and re-introduced the baby NL game. There was immediate seating in the big NL game (5/10 blinds, $400 min) so I sat.

With about 1/2 an orbit before the BB gets to me, I decide to wait to post. A few poorly played hands later it is time for me to post and I get called for 10/20. So I leave without playing a hand.

The 10/20 was as soft as I have ever seen it. They had three tables running - one feeding the two "main" games. I don't understand this setup. Feeder games suck. Regardless, my table was muy loose. Most often 5-6 players to the flop for 1-2 bets. Not uncommon for 3-4 players to the flop capped. Craziness. I had a super-LAG on my immediate left who I used to raise pots for me, allowing the re-raise when it came back around. I had the super-calling station on my immediate right who paid me off nicely whenever we went heads-up in the blinds (rare with the number of people seeing the flop). Fairly unevently table for me, as I got transferred to the main game after about 2 hours and up 10BB.

The main game was looser but way more aggressive than the feeder. The super-LAG from my previous table also got sent over and was on the other end of the table. The sequence of betting from his side of the table was very often limp (by super-LAG), raise, re-raise. This allowed me to fold lots of hands. It obviously didn't take long to figure out who was raising light and start re-raising appropriately. There was a very drunk guy two to my right that played every single hand he was dealt until he lost the $500 in front of him - then he re-bought and proceeded to lost most of that. Then, in a twist of bitter irony, he took down a huge pot with pocket kings and was called to the NL game. We encouraged him not to go - highlighting the danger of losing your stack in one hand - but I think he was on to us. Ah well. I again had a fairly uneventful table - mainly just straightforward play of straightforward hands. I was almost disappointed when I finally picked up aces on the button and it was folded around to me! Fortunately, the SB and BB cooperated and we capped pre-flop and on the flop, allowing me to win a nice large pot. I have jotted down some hands that I played where I feel like I might have missed a river bet - mainly chickening out when a draw came in and checking through when I was ahead - this might be a problem for me. I also missed a river check-raise (my new favorite move) when I failed to notice that my opponent was short stacked and his river bet of $15 put him all in. He lost and re-bought and lost again.

Jay36??? did stop by and say hi. I watched a couple of hands at his 6/12 table near the end of the night and was amused by the sunglasses/hooded sweatshirt guy sitting to his right. Do the shades help much when you visibly frown/smile at each cards as it is exposed?

Jason continues his streak of winning trips, up a modest 4BB. I did very nicely on the last table and cashed out up 30BB.

I chatted with one of the floor people and asked about the 20/40 and 30/60 want lists that are always up but never get going. He claims that they get the 20/40 running on Saturdays now - and said it should be spread by 8pm tonight, if not earlier. I'd be curious to see if its the same players as the 10/20 or if some people migrate over from Harrah's.

I may head back tonught, but probably not.

lol He would just flat out say if he was on a draw many times. He had been there over 12 hours and was down $500. My table was actually 3/6, not 6/12. There was one guy who played tight weak, one tight aggressive, and the rest of the table ranged from loose passive, to extremly loose and aggressive. Even some kill pots were capped 3-4 ways preflop. I continued my streak of cold cards at trumps and left down 12BB. I still haven't pulled out a win of more then 5BB there. One LAG went up 100BB in 3-4 hours. It was hard watching him drag pot after pot.

I too may go back tonight.

Must have been a kill pot or two when I was sweating you - definitely bets in multiples of 12 on the river. Stuck $500 in 3/6 in one session!? Awesome.
