Party 100 88 hand...action?

30 left, UTG has been pretty aggressive, he just busted a short stack but has otherwise played tight/solid, my image is pretty similiar, this has been my "easiest" mtt so far, been getting solid hands when I needed them, haven't had to make too many difficult decisions (knock on wood it's still going on) anwyway, I have 16k, UTG has 24k (blinds 400/800) and this is the very next hand , he raises to 2k UTG, and I reraise to 5k with 88, he insta-moves in...this is a pretty easy fold yes? At the time, I felt like he was just stealing, but the reraise makes me feel like bigger pair more often than overcards....

I'm not really a tourney player so forgive me if this is a very easy question...

Edit: Also probably not a good idea to just invest 1/3 of my stack here and then fold...yes/no? Does anyone ever just call?
