A/K vs. River Donk.
Hero is on button w/ A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]/K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. Villian is tight/agg/pass in SB.
Party 1/2 Ring. Preflop: UTG calls, 4 folds, CO calls, Hero raises, SB calls, UTG calls, CO calls. Flop: 4d, Ah, Qh. 4 players (9sb) SB bets, UTG calls, CO calls, Hero raises, SB calls, UTG calls, CO folds. Turn: 5d. 3 players (8bb) SB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, SB calls, UTG folds. River 3d. 2 players (10bb) Sb bets, Hero...? What % of times am I good in this spot? |

Re: A/K vs. River Donk.
Getting 10:1 I always call here. Doesn't make it right, but I just can't fold this.

Re: A/K vs. River Donk.
I'm not sure anyone can say exactly how often you are good here, but I think you're good at least 1 time in 12 which is what you need to make the call +EV.
If villain really is TAG, I don't see him calling any hand that has a 3 or a 2 in it preflop except maybe 33 and 22 hoping to flop a set. But he would have to release it in the flop. So we're probably looking at the flush most of the time. I think 1 time in 12 he's just trying to push you off a hand. Also, I really discount a slowplay because I would expect a raise on the turn after you bet. |
