Default 2 table or multi table

which is most profitable for a good player to play in, 2 table or multi table comps.

It depends. Two tables probably offer a better ROI in the short-run as your short-term luck is diminished as you have fewer players. The short-term luck factor in a tournament is very high. However, good tournament players, over the course of time should get a nice ROI on multi's as well, but the standard deviation is higher.
