Default Dell FP2001for Europeans

Hi! I'm trying to get another monitor or 2 of them to 8 table and i see this monitor is one of the best.

My question:

In Europe it costs 800 €, in America 536 $

Is it compatible an american fp 2001 with an european video card??

The question looks stupid, but i remember that if u bye video games in the states for PS2 or XBOX u'll need an adaptor so u can use them, so probably the same goes on here.

If there's no problem, I'll buy it in USA from internet. I can't wait to have 2 of them!!!

I would suggest e-mailing Dell and asking them directly. That's the only true (refundable if wrong) way to be sure.

I hate to say it, but Dell US only ship within US (and Dell UK within UK, etc).

Dell Sweden earlier had a 20% rebate on these ($940), but is now back to full list price, $1150!!!

With current deals at about $450 in US, it's almost 3 times as expensive to buy it in Europe. Horrible!!

There's loads going on Ebay at around £380 after P&P compared to £550 (without P&P) at the Dell website.

I just bought one - dunno if it was a good deal. Its seems like it.

Any problems with having to pay customs when shipped from US to Europe?

And since I'm an Ebay newbie, any problems not getting what you paid for?

I just won the auction so I'm afraid I do not have the answers yet.

I won it for £310+ £59.99(shipping) + £10 (insurance). These are the only costs I've been told to pay. The seller was a powerseller on Ebay and sells loads of the Dell monitors ( most of the ones on the search are from this guy).

I can keep you guys posted if you're interested - it seems stupid to be paying the same price in pounds as in dollars for the monitor.

I bought one a few months ago from the US (i am in the UK). Basically its pot luck whether you get hit by customs duty and VAT. If customs do check it expect to pay at least another 25% on top.

I asked my seller to mark the item as being worth $200 and got charged about 26 quid on top for VAT a few weeks after it arrived (not sure why i didnt get charged import duty).

Let me know if you need any further info.

Paul.

I'll probably get one of his Buy It Now ones. Any idea what happens if its got dead pixels though? That's the one thing I'm worried about. Gonna email him and ask.

Dell warranties transfer. However getting service on them outside of their service area might be impossible.
