Default Dealing with a short-stack - common situation

I have a hard time consistently getting into +EV spots against short stacks. Call or fold the flop? Villain just sat down about 1 orbit ago and bought in for $20.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

SB ($45)
BB ($120)
Hero ($53)
MP ($63.48)
Button ($19.90)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, Button calls $2, 2 folds.

Flop: ($4.75) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets to $4, Button is all-in, Hero ?

Well, he's got a pp or a J. Don't think you are ahead of much here (33-88 AK or AQ). I think you have to lay this down without a read that he is on tilt or just playing a short stack push any pp strategy.

I fold. Villain is short but not crazy short. I expect to, at best, be 50-50 against two overs + flush draw.

I agree that this is a fold to. You will be ahead sometimes vs lower pocketpairs or Ax in diamond. But i think you will be behind too often to call this.
