I guess that could work, except most the time someone else has already raised in a full ring game.

Why do you care about beating someone who is only getting involved in 3% of his hands?
Worry about the guys who are in every hand with you. BTW, you don't even mention what type of game you are talking about. |

in NL, call them with pocket pairs or suited connecters, flop a set or a huge draw or made hand and take all their money.
and in NL and in limit, just steal all their blinds. |

Never get involved in hands with them and let the blinds eat them alive. If you happen to be sitting to their near right open-raise any 2 on their big blind.

You don't have to beat them the win. Make your money beating the people who play too loose.

You don't have to beat them the win. Make your money beating the people who play too loose. [/ QUOTE ] Agreed. And don't worry about stealng the blinds of the tighties, you'll get a share of those. The thing about the very tight, ABC players is that they are predictable. If you find yourself in a hand with them, you'll usually know exactly where you're at. One thing to watch for in this type of player is whether he is weak. Often the nut peddlers are going to be easily moved off of hands when the board turns scary, so you may be able to pick up some extra bets there. Regards, T |

If you're to their right, you get an extra button every round.
If you're to their left, just get out of the way when they're in the pot. If you're facing a raise from them in your blind, play live cards and use your handreading advantage. |

Re: How do you beat people who only play AA-JJ AK?
yeah, if you actually have picked up on the fact they play that few hands, then just don't play when they play. and if you have limped and they raise, maybe you can call and see the flop but fold.
your example was too tight, but i really try to avoid the few other Tight-aggressives that i see. very few cards to call a raise with from these people. not too much you can do if they play behind you, except give it up on the flop alot. |
