How does it look? What if oppponent made a large bet on the river?

There is the possibility that he was holding JQ so a big bet on the river might have looked that way. Im guessing more like 2 overs though. AK/AQ. Maybe a single high spade... A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q any would be a reasonable holding here.

I dont think I would have let off on the river though. Were you trying to get him to bet? Personally I would liked to have taken this down without showing.

I like the play, but most of the time I won't bet the flop. I don't think there's anything really wrong with it, kind of depends on the limpers.

River is good, I think. I can't see worse hands paying off a good bet there. Actually I don't see a bluff too often either, but for that price, I'd call.

Turn and River look fine to me. If he made a large bet, I'd probably fold the river.

I don't like the flop play though. You had a free look at the flop from the blind, and flopped mid pair, no kicker on a suited board, why get carried away? I'd check with the intention to fold and would take a $2 stab if he checked behind and turn blanked.

whether i bet or check/fold the flop depends on my reads/stats on MP.

If MP hit his flush on the flop his play makes sense--you were betting into him and he tried to extract the most out of you on the river -- perhaps he did not hold nut flush and was worried you did.

If MP hit STR with QJ, his river play also makes sense--but I think he'd be also be fearful of the flush throughout the hand.

You were served up pot odds too good to pass up..which makes me think you are beat.

this is not how i would play QJ if i was MP at all, unless both the Q and J were spades, in that case, see above
