Another help me select which books thread..
So far i've read:
TOP Carson's guide to playing and winning poker. Psychology of Poker. I've played for about 3 months and been beating the $1/$2 and $2/$4 games. HPFAP is one of the books i will be buying next. I'm wondering if i should buy Lee Jones' LL book or might i be past that? I'm also wondering of any good 5 card stud books and No Limit books. I'm aiming to buy about 5, so lots of recommendations please. Thanks. |

Re: Another help me select which books thread..
Buy Inside The Poker Mind alongside HEFAP to fine tune your Hold'em game.
Bob Ciaffone & Reuben Stewart's Pot Limit And No Limit Poker is a must for No Limit Poker. |

Five Card Stud Books
There are no great 5stud books but Norman Zadeh's 'Winning Poker Systems' has a useful chapter on 5stud.

Anyone from the UK know any websites that have Inside the Poker Mind available? Only amazon.com has it not co.uk and i don't think they will ship to the UK, i could be wrong though.

Re: Another help me select which books thread..
For new players, I recommend reading the following books in the order shown:
TOP/Sklansky LLH/Jones HFAP/Sklansky MLH/Ciaffone Once you get these down, then you can move on to No-limit. Regards, Matthew |

Re: Another help me select which books thread..
I got my copy from amazon.co.uk - and it's much cheaper than High Stakes. Amazon's site says 7-8 days for delivery. If you are in London, Foyle's also has a pretty decent selection of poker books - but these are all full price, of course. But amazon.co.uk is your best bet - unless you want to buy anything by Cloutier and McEvoy, and there are a few other bits and pieces that I've not managed to find there. Oh yeah - you can get books from ukpoker as well. And gamble.co.uk might have some, possibly.
