Was this a good play? If not, on which street was bad? edit: I think edub has a straight draw and folds to any raising, otherwise calling if I call. |

Unless you were worried about a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] flush draw i would have MinRaise - All in River. I think you could easily suck out a lot more then going all-in there, he probably will jump at you with a Set on river if he calls the turn.

Re: Please check my line with TQ limped to me in BB
I would have probably raised to 3-4x his turn bet there, you don't want to let someone get a runner runner flush for cheap to knock out your hand, and don't want to give someone holding something like TJ a cheap ride to the river to make a straight to split pot with ya. You represent an ace here, and if someone has an ace beat, they are likely to call and lose their chips, or if they are drawing, they might call and possibly lose their chips.
Going all in wasn't too bad of a play, you still got a pretty good sized pot, but you might have been able to extract more chips by raising 3-4x the bettors bet. Even a minbet here might have worked, the original bettor might be inclined to give action. Really, there isn't a definite way to play this hand, I'd even probably play this one differently if it happened more than once. |
