Default Bin Laden Says Boycott Iraq Elections

And "Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is the prince of al Qaeda in Iraq."

But remember....there is no connection between Iraq and al Qaeda....

From the same article:
"We, in al Qaeda organization, welcome him joining forces with us, a great welcome and this will be a great step towards unifying the mujahedeens' efforts in establishing the nation of justice and destroying the nation of evil.

note the key words, WELCOME HIM JOINING FORCES WITH US.

If this is true, why has al qaeda decided to go to iraq? What do they have to gain?

Also, why are people still calling for us to leave iraq now that we have proof of al quaeda presence there?

Default Why do we care about Bin Laden?

Don't you remember when The Great Fearless Leader Bush said Bin Laden didn't matter, he was (to paraphrase) just a 'nuisance', who was 'powerless' and not a concern anymore.

According to 'W', Bin Laden is fearfully hiding in a cave somewhere. Why do we care who he supports or what he says? The War is On. The Military Industrial Complex is making money hand over fist.

A big thank you to Bin Laden for the excuse to make all the profits happen!

It depends on what you mean by leave. Most people calling for us the leave were doing so a year (or two) ago and were adding the caveat that we should put a different political face by giving control to the United Nations or some other international force. That we we would not be seen as the bad guys (which is how we are now being perceived). If we had done so ......

Notice that recently the calls to leave have diminished, at least until after the so-called elections. When the calls to leave are likely to start coming from Sistani and his cronies.

I still think we should leave right now. And if not now then immediately after the elections. People who say that if we leave that AQ will become incredibly strong in Iraq and plot against us are just spazzing.

If AQ wants to attack us, they will do so. They are a determined group.

It's not like our homeland security is that great, so they're probably planning something really, really big right now.

Of course they attacked us on 9/11 because we had troops in Saudi Arabia and because of our strong support for Israel.

I remember the non-stop stories this year about the kidnapping and taking of hostages. It was the Phillipines(I think?) that negotiated the release of their hostages by withdrawing their troops from Iraq. That was smart. It may have been seen as a pussy move by some on here, but it shows that the terrorists kept their word. Obviously if they had withdrawn and the hostages had been executed then it would be a different story, but it's sad that Nick Berg and other Americans had to die because we were unwilling to negotiate.

I also think that some of the strongest war opponents have a point when they state that we are occupying Iraq, after all, and ask us to put ourselves in the position of the Iraqi people. If a foreign power(say, Canada) invaded us and deposed our leader, wouldn't you resist? Even if you don't like Bush, would you want to see this country taken over by Canada? Maybe Canada isn't the best example because a lot of people actually like Canada. So what about China? Would that be cool with you guys?

We are an occupying force, which is making war on the Iraqi people. There can be very little doubt on that. We are doing (have done) to the Iraqi what Israel has been doing to the Palestinians. If I )or you or many of the posters on this forum) was occupied by an outside country, I may well want to plan and carry out an insurgency. That is how countries all over the world have won their freedoms - that was how America got its independence.

I still think we should leave right now.

You may be right.
