Ok to say sup bro to a chick?

I recently recognized the screen name of a female 2+2er, and I dropped the sup bro line.

I'm thinking maybe it's not cool to call a chick bro, even though it's just a standard line to identify other 2+2ers.

So, if you're male: do you think it's ok to say sup bro to a chick?

If you're female: do you take offense to someone saying sup bro to you?

When you say sup bro, you're not saying "Hello brother"... it's a reference to the great one, Sup Bro.

It's a referance to Sup Bro's famous line "sup bro", and when Sup Bro was saying sup bro, he did mean "hello brother," so you could argue that "sup bro" in a poker chat window means "hello brother."
