KK vs paired board + aggression
I felt very very lost with this hand.
Villain is (52/11/.87) over 28 hands. Party Poker 0.5/1 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is MP1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 1 fold, UTG+1 calls, Hero raises, 2 folds, CO 3-bets, 3 folds, UTG+1 calls, Hero caps, CO calls, UTG+1 calls. Flop: (13.50 SB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players) UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, CO raises, UTG+1 calls, Hero 3-bets, CO caps, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls. How's the 3-bet? Too much, or ok? I don't think CO has the J, but UTG+1 calling along is starting to worry me. Turn: (12.75 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, CO bets, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls. Ugh. Don't like the A. UTG+1 not raising makes me think no one has the J, but someone's gotta have the A, right? Or am I against smaller pocket pairs? What to do: give up now, raise, or should I have bet out? River: (15.75 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) UTG+1 checks, Hero checks, CO bets, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls. I think I'm beat, but can't fold to 1 bet. Final Pot: 18.75 BB |

Re: KK vs paired board + aggression
Villain is pretty aggressive PF, so AK or AJ seem like possible holdings, as do AA/QQ. I agree with your flop play; I'm not ready to give villain a J here. The turn is terrible for you. I'm pretty sure you're beat here. I'd probably lay it down. I'd be afraid of a checkraise from UTG+1, waiting with his any A. I'm just not sure if you can call off two big bets in this hand (esp if you don't know that's all there is); I don't think we're good here enough.
