now that i think about it, his pf raise should have told me he didn't have a 6. on the other hand this was at a "beginners" table and with no reads he could just be overagressive.

call this

on the river i think you should bet/call, hopefully trapping MP1 for two bets.

i folded because i didn't realize MP2 had raised in early position preflop. just played a bad session overall i guess, and wanted to make sure it was as dumb as i thought.

I just call the turn and river. If you re-raise, MP1 folds unless he has an A or a 6. The 6 beats you so you pay him off, the A is a split pot so no value. MP2 may have the 6, but he raised PF so probably not, it's a split pot so no equity in raising. If you call, MP1 may be really stupid and call one more bet with a pair or even nothing. By calling, you have a chance of picking up another 1/2 bet.

You'll see another A or PP higher than the board a lot here, much more often than you'll see any 6.

I like the call turn lead river/call one back line the most. You're splitting vs an A and beating a mid PP often here.

I think you are safe from MP2. He either has a pocket pair 8 or higher, or two high hearts. With no reads, the calling station at MP1 may be a concern, since you can't rule out a 6 sitting there (though again, it's unlikely).

Minimally, you have a split pot. MP2 may be have the A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and be drawing to the flush. Personally, I'd re-raise here, but a call is just as good.
