Cards.....Live vs Online
I played 165 hands online and then I took a deck of cards and dealt 165 hands to ten seats, simulating full ring game.
I know this is not a large enough sample to make a conclusion but still interesting results. When all ten hands are played to river: AK-doesnt hold up that often.PP 55-AA- very strong. PP 22-44- very weak. Flush was dealt 2 times.Very rarely were there more than 2 of the same suit on board vs online where there were flushes at showdown at least 12 times. And that does not include those that folded 2 suited cards that may have won with flush.Str8 was dealt 26 times.A majority of the hands would not have been played, 75o,26,73, etc.Fullhouse dealt 7 times almost all with pocket pairs. |

PP 55-very strong. PP 44-very weak. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, there's a HUGE difference between 44 and 55. [ QUOTE ] Very rarely were there more than 2 of the same suit on board... [/ QUOTE ] Funny, when I deal a five-card holdem board, there are two of the same suit EVERY single time. But then, I'm not using my Lucky Charms deck that has purple horseshoes and green clovers. |

Re: Cards.....Live vs Online
The conducted a similar experiment. I installed pokertracker and imported 1,000 hands and compared this to 1,000 hands I dealt out manually to ten seats. This took a lot of time to do manually!
Conclusion: It is not even remotely the same. Cards online are smaller than cards from Walmart. |

Re: Cards.....Live vs Online
I don't mean to throw cold water on your experiment, but you forget to mention at which site you played your 165 hands!
Other than that, you might have hit on the essence of why it's better to play online than live. Anyone want this to be made a sticky-post so that noobs can be pointed to it? |
