Borgota Felt
They recently changed the felt on all the tables at the Borg, to advertise the upcoming WPT tournament this fall.
1) There are two WPT style Aces on the felt. When a player throws his cards near to them it has confused more than one person so far, they are almost the same size as normal playing cards... it adds to the confusion. Even a dealer made a bad call on the river by questioning how come the player had three cards (ugh!) 2) The word Tournament is misspelled. It says Tornanment. Nice proof reading guys.. Re: Borgota Felt
When I was there some of the dealers would place blue Absent buttons on the felt over the aces. The aces did not bother me at all because they were not that close to the board cards and I could easily tell they were not really.
The spelling of the word tournament made me laugh just a bit everytime I saw it. |

Re: Borgota Felt
I ran into this "problem" with the WPT aces on the felt a little bit, but it was never a serious issue that slowed the game down. Several of the dealers took to jopking about someone having trip aces whenever they tabled pocket A-A adjacent to the WPT logo... TT, do you leave your initials as "TTT" at the Borgata? I heard those initals being called a few times this afternoon while I was sitting 6/12 right by the podium/escalator.

Re: Borgota Felt
Nope, I use TT unless they won't allow it (like at the Wynn, they called me double T because it sounds like PP - I kid you not).
Oh, and I wasn't there today TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

Re: Borgota Felt
It's not that you can confuse them with the real cards...they're just very distracting. I like how they put the schedule of the Borgata Poker Open events on the things. But from what I hear, still waaaaaay better then the HOB red felt.

Holy cow batman...
[ QUOTE ] The word Tournament is misspelled. It says Tornanment. [/ QUOTE ] To the batmobile, time to kick someone in the nuts. Logos on felt suck because lots of bad things happen. Like you point out, the logo is confused with the cards. Many times logos also camophlage chips, particularly red ones. Keep the felts one color MORONS, particularly if you can't proofread words like TOURNAMENT. al p.s. I'll kick you in the nuts if you can't spell "tournament" right on a friggin' felt that goes in an expensive casino like the friggin' borg |
