Villian is an unknown, I've been here about one orbit.

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Since your pair doesn't play, the river is an easy fold. I like the flop raise.

I'm guessing you raised the river and he folded. Show off post?

He's most likely betting a busted flush here right?
Most aces would check and call.
This is something (bluff raising the river) I almost never do, but this seems like the only time it might work.

any thoughts?

He isn't folding an ace. The only better hand you may have gotten to fold is a J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Otherwise your ten kicker is good. This reminds me of an article I read recently about bluffing. Bluffing isn't nearly as profitable as we think it is, because often when our opponent folds, we actually had the best hand.

You probably had the best hand on the river here.

Calling is better than raising. The only time raising helps you is when he has a J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
