Default LAG stats using starting hand charts

MY VPIP/PFR using the starting handchart is 33/20 over my first 3k hands...this seems abnormally high. Any thoughts?

If I recall, the raising standards on that chart should put your PFR somewhere between 18-20. But having a VPIP of 33 and a spread of 13 between your VPIP and PFR is a bit abnormal. You may be limping too many hands behind or overdefending the blinds.

Here's the bigger thing, though. That chart isn't the gospel. The looser style works for many players, but generally is not good unless you have a lot of shorthanded experience. Which is why the idea of this chart is kind of double-edged.

If you need a chart to tell you what to open with, then you probably shouldn't be playing all the hands on that chart.

if i'm not mistaken (which i might be, because i only glanced at the charts when they were posted), that chart is pretty much raise or fold, offering very few situations where you'd limp preflop. so, i think you might be going slightly beyond its recommendations.

OK, I took a look at my stats again and I realized I had some of my old laggy stats in there...so the stats from using the chart are actually 28/18, not 33/20.

I don't suppose you could throw me a link to this? I've used the search function looking for "starting hand chart" but all I've found are a million posts talking aobut it, but none that actually contain it.

I used the starting hand chart for 1,900 hands and it gave me a VPIP of 18%, I then got slated for being weak tight, so I think sample size is a big factor.
