Pokerstove -- off topic.
Cross-posted: software.
It looks like there's a version of pokerstove released recently; I don't know if many of you are aware (I don't check Andrew's site regularly). The new version made some nice changes, including an "any pair" button in the 2-card hand distribution, the ability to type in handranges (which means we can cut and paste handranges now), and a sliding-scale that allows you to select what likely handranges are based on the % of hands an opponent is playing. So, for example, if I say that someone is raising 25% of their hands on the button, and we assume that they're raising the top 25% of their hands (i.e. they're not raising 32s for shaniac reasons), then PokerStove will estimate that to be around 66+,A2s+,K6s+,Q8s+,J8s+,T8s+,A7o+,K9o+,QTo+,JTo, and I can more easily realize how big of a favorite AQs really is (about 62.2% to win if we both make it to showdown). Anyway, thought some of you all might be interested. I use PS often as an equity analysis tool when thinking about different hands/situations. Rob |
