Re: Weakness
I didn't feel comfortable calling the turn. It just felt like a spew.
Before I let this thread die off, I think these results may warrant some more discussion: Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero raises, MP calls, 2 folds, SB calls, BB calls. Flop: (8 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, MP folds, SB raises, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, SB calls, BB calls. Turn: (10 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, BB bets, Hero folds, SB calls. River: (12 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, BB bets, SB calls. Final Pot: 14 BB Results: SB has 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (three of a kind, sixes). BB has 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (flush, jack high). Outcome: BB wins 14 BB. If either of these guys had nothing but a draw on the flop, almost every draw got there when the turn card hit. Thinking along those lines, does the fold still seem weak, or is it more routine? |

Re: Weakness
I like the turn fold. If the turn is a 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], I call the turn. If the SB pops it again, I fold.
What can you put these guys on after the flop action? I'd guess flush draw (with or without pair), straight draw, set, A9, (unlikely) overpair. When the turn completes the OESD (78) and the flush draw, I think it's a good fold. Not sure what I would do with a 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. A Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] turn, I can fold, but probably not as easily as the actual turn. |
