PP and Empire search function...not working?

I try and get my fish list, but the search button won't light up. Anybody know why?

In order to get the search button to light up, I just put an extra space after the name. This will get the "search" to light up so you can click.

If anyone has a better way, I'd like to know.

i hit delete and type the last character again.

Any typing in the search list will cause the search button to become active.

I didn't have this problem with my old PC and Windows ME. It appeared recently when I got a new PC with XP Prof.
