Default 87s Strong Draw

No real reads here, other than the main villain is not as bad as most at NL 50, although he's nowhere near what i'd consider "good" the others are donkeys.

I think i have zero fold equity on the push, which you'd like to optimally have some fold equity...I do think with my pair + flush draw and the dead money in the pot that I have to push here though.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

CO ($50)
Button ($64.37)
SB ($100.36)
BB ($51.95)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. CO posts a blind of $0.50. SB posts a blind of $0.25.
Hero calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, CO (poster) checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $3</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, BB calls $2.50, Hero calls $2.50, CO calls $2.50.

BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $10</font>, CO calls $10, Button folds, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $30</font>, Hero calls $37 (All-In), CO folds, BB calls $17.

Turn: ($116.25) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

River: ($116.25) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $116.25

A fold is not in order, and if you call the rest is going in on 4th street. Push is correct.

Fold equity is all well and good, but with a pair+draw this strong you don't really need any of it to make getting all-in worthwhile. Your line is exactly the one I'd take.

with this type of hand waiting until 4th street is not profitable because you are still on a draw to beat his probable overpair. if you miss your draw on 4th street and he pushes the rest what do you do with one card to come? now you're losing value and have to rely on the river to bring your card. if it comes a blank youve lost a lot on a hand that could have been guaranteed to see the rest of the cards on the board.

i agree with the push as long as you are sure villain didn't hit a set, because then you're going with a flush draw and you're in trouble most of the time.
