Default TT HU A high flop

Empire .5/1 aka Dante's 7th circle of Hell.

BB had reasonable preflop rasing standards but folded often before the river. Already this session the BB had raised and folded to my 3 bet before the flop, and folded to a flop raise a couple of times. We had had a few HU battles already due to our position and the tightness of the table.

I have T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG

PREFLOP: I raise, 7 folds, BB 3 bets, I call.

FLOP: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 7 SB)
BB bets, I raise, BB calls.

TURN: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 5BB)
BB checks, I bet, BB raises, I fold.

I raised the flop hoping to represent an Ace because I already know that BB is more than capable of releasing higher pocket pairs. My plan was to hope for a fold, fold to a 3 bet, and assume that a call meant BB was peeling and 1 more bet could take them out of the hand. Once I got CRed on the turn I figured it was a set of Aces or AK and threw it away.

Anyone just fold the flop straight away?

I like a flop/call turn/raise line better here if he is a thinking player.

I don't like it, if he folds JJ-KK too much, call the flop, raise the turn, it will get the fold much more often

That risks a minimum of an extra bet to accomplish the same thing. If he 3 bets then I get away for only 1 BB and I don't think this player calls it down w/o an Ace either way.

BTW, what do you think of just folding to the initial flop bet? Too weak?

I don't like the flop raise. What range of hands do you put villain on after the pf 3 bet?

A big ace or a pocket pair better than mine. I raised because I know that this player is capable of folding an underpair here. I think there is almost no chance I have the best hand.
