3-betting preflop would probably make the rest of the hand a lot easier.

3betting preflop is my standard in this situation.

I've been experimenting with flat-calling, since I have position and a showdown-worthy hand. Aggressive players will bet the flop + turn often regardless of holding..is this a foolish idea?

I used to call a lot out of the BB, and I've been 3-betting much much more. I like 3-betting almost always.

Yeah, I 3bet ALOT. I've just been experimenting with this because it seems that they'll bet with UI weak hands rather than call with them, and I don't get bluffed off the best hand(A-hi) by some aggro donk with a weak draw.

3betting allows you to pickup more pots on the flop when you both miss.

You also likely have the best hand with position so you want to charge him preflop.

And you dont want him raising from SB all the time so you 3bet to slow him down in future hands.

I'm quite content just calling preflop. Fold the flop.

Fold the flop.

Is this is because villain is too likely to have a pair because the flop is high? What if the flop was J72, would you still fold? I am pretty clueless when it comes to flop texture, so I apologize if this is a dumb question.

Thanks,
Cartman
