Paradise 5/10 No real read on the villain, but he hasn't shown anything crazy in the few orbits I've been here. (This doesn't necessarily mean he's decent)
I raise UTG with black Queens. Next guy folds, UTG+2 3-bets, folds to me, I cap, he calls. Flop: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet he calls. Turn is A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet, he raises, I think I should fold here, and I think this is superior to checking the turn or calling the raise. Thoughts? |

Hrm..smells like AKs/AKo or TT.
You are getting 8.7:1 on your immediate call (if I calculated correctly). Without any other draw (other than your 2 Q outs)...unless this player has a history of getting out of line, 3-betting PF with trash to isolate, bluffing scare cards, etc...I think this is a clear fold. |

This would depend on your read naturally, but I think against most opponents you can fold this one without much regret.
I was thinking about the preflop, though. Did you consider calling his 3-bet or do you think a cap is routine in this situation? Kludde |

Hmmn. I thought it was pretty routine, and it certainly makes that unfortunate turn easier, but against different boards, maybe I would not wanted to put that extra bet in preflop.
I look forward to hearing thoughts on this one too. |

If this guy hasn't gotton out of line I definitely fold here.
You've done nothing but show strength and he doesn't seem to care. Not trying to sound weak tight, but it would be hard to imagine anything but AA, AK or a slow played set for the villain. If he's making a move with JJ hoping to push out KK or QQ, well then good for him. Preflop I like sometimes capping and sometimes calling looking to CR flop, so I have no problem with your line of play. |
