bright object in sky
coming home lately around sunset, see a very bright object in the south/southwestish sky, not very high.
at first i thought it was some star, but then thought it was much too bright, so, venus? i cant find any info on the net (i am svck at searching)) |

I think I saw the one you're talking about last Saturday. When I saw it, it was the only object (besides the moon) visible in the sky, yet it wasn't moving or blinking.

If its brighter than a star, and it is if you are seeing it at sunset, it's a planet. I think Venus is visible now, I remember reading that, so I am laying odds that you are seeing Venus.

[/ QUOTE ] yeah, im pretty sure its venus. i looked at it with my piece of crap 3x (or something pathetic like that) telescope, and it was definitely a planet. im pretty sure mars is visible too (perhaps it always is, who knows) |
