Default New monitor...A few questions for the tech savvy

Just got a new ViewSonic 50 lb. beast of a monitor and I just need to know if there is any way to get around the refresh rate of the 2nd monitor being limited by rate of the first.

Having the CRT monitor run at 60hz refresh rate is going to kill me.

Please help.

Thanks,
Nick

When I changed the refresh rate through Windows's display properties, it only changed it for my primary monitor.

I guess set your better monitor as the primary monitor.

What type of graphics card (s) do you have? I have 2 ATI cards, and I can configure the resolutions of my monitors by highligting the one I want to change within the display settings, then clicking on the "Advanced" tab. Perhaps you always have your primary monitor highlighted when attempting your change.
