Default Thoughts on this play

Villain has VPIP 13, PFR 8 over 94 hands. Won $ ASD 90%, so I thought I could push him off of just a big ace or maybe even a pair. I had only played two other hands besides this one outside of the blinds in the three orbits I had been there, so I thought I should have had a tight image. Thoughts?

I've tried this play a lot recently and I do a few things different.

1. I try to check-raise.
2. I'd like for a big card to be on the board somewhere, but not an ace. Its not always necessary--see point 3--but helpful, I think.
3. I don't think I've ever tried it against a pre-flop 3 bettor. I'm more likely to do it after calling a raise from the BB and the flop comes raggy but coordinated, something like that.

He show you QQ? AK?

I don't like this. If he's as tight as you say, and you have a tight image as well, he's going to respect your EP raise and he'll need a big hand to re-raise you (probably a big pocket pair or AK). Even if he doesn't know you're tight, he's still got to have a big hand to 3-bet. I think you're behind all the way on this one.

I lost a lot of money at 2/4 playing this way until I started toning things down...

Then he probably isn't 3-betting with very many hands here. I just check/fold the flop. After he calls your turn check/raise I think betting the river is just a waste of 1 BB.

Not bad thinking. Dont out think yourself, remember its 3-6. You shoulda raised on the flop. By just calling you let him get to committed to the hand. 3 bets preflop, 1 bet on flop, and 1 bet on turn before you raised. And you will never get people off a pair. NEVER

AQo. I was very surpised that he called with just A high, given my table image and the action in the hand, but what could I do? Oh well, I really thought he had AK, and that I could get him off of it, but I was wrong. Thanks for the responses.
