My plan was to raise and fold to a 3-bet?

I don't understand. Why'd you check behind? You are giving a free card to single diamonds when we have a decent hand + straight draw.

And you have no idea where you are at on the river either. I'd hate to make a bad fold on the river.

Wow, that's a pretty awful turn check. Any draw or any pair is calling. If he's paired up, he's likely calling down the whole way, which gets you the same as if he calls your river raise. If he's drawing, he not only folds to the raise, but may check/fold, netting you nothing, and - even worse - getting infinite odds to draw. The absolute worst scenario is if he has a pair and diamond draw.

What was your reasoning?

Uhm... I have had a lot of school work these last says so I'm a bit rusty

Turn:
Ouch. Tight player limped and then called the flop....

Flushdraw? JT? Kx? Qx?

KT and QT feel like very common limping hands?

If I bet and he has KT, QT, then I lose 11 outs to his ch/r! That is a buckload of money. I thought. But

1) The pot was tiny...
2) I overestimated probability of KT and QT vastly.

I guess I just screwed up.

EDIT: Bad thread. Nothing to see here.

Why are you checking behind on the turn? You are likely ahead with your top pair - good kicker. You also just picked up an oesd, so even if he is ahead, you have lots of outs to the straight.
