Default Battle of blinds: flopped sucker straight

My first hand at the table so zero read.

2/4NL. Villian is BB w/$245. I cover. Folded me in SB (5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]).

I call, VILLIAN raises to $8.

FLOP: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

I check, VILLIAN bets $9, I raise to $30, VILLIAN raises to $51.

While I'm taking my time debating my action (how much to raise) Villian types "thief."

I quickly push.

OK. Thanks. I called by J 10 then ridiculed by the donkeys at the table saying I should have "slowed down" and "gotta put him on J10 w/that action blah blah"

Donkeys.

What he typed was a pretty big tell. He would never give the impression he was re-stealing unless he had a very strong hand. Granted, I think I'm still getting stacked here.

Open-completing the SB is crap.

More, please? Are you just saying mix it up? I like to raise or fold in the SB. It's probably around 75R/25F for me these days.
