The check/call is bad on the turn,imo. Did he bet recause he has a hand or because you showed weakness? No way to know. Then, if he goes all in. What does he have? No way to know. On the turn, the board may look as scary to him as it does to you. Probably does. Make a pot-sized bet on the turn. If he raises ,you can comfortably throw your hand away.
