Ummm....Johnson and Mussina. You can't just look at one game and say Al Leiter is the best starter. He had one good night against a very good team.

i think leiter can easily go 10-6 or 9-5 on the yankees and keep his era in the low 4s

So, how does that make him better than Johnson or Mussina? Johnson's ERA is in the low 4's, as well as Mussina's. If you were drafting a fantasy team would you really pick Leiter over Johnson or Mussina? I really think you are looking at one game and taking it too far. If Riverra would have blown the game today would you have said that he is the worst closer in the AL?

I don't understand what you are saying. And I am not trying to be condescending.

p.s. Johnson and Mussina have struggled, but they have also had great games. Why would this one game that Leiter pitched make you think he is going to continue to pitch that well? Maybe this was just a great game for him.
