Default Q3o w/a board of AAQ

Micro-limit game, I was in the big blind with Q3o. One mid-position and one late-position player limped in (both were new to the table, so I had no sense of how they played), and I checked.

The flop was AAQ. Given the small size of the pot, my poor position, and the fact that I had no read on the other players, I thought it was an easy check/fold, but I'm wondering if anyone thinks I should have tried betting or check-raising. Would it have made any difference if I'd had a better kicker (say, Q9o)?
