Default Warning :this hurts (Bubble play)

Party 50 + 5.

I think my raise is bad - if I am going to an call all-in I might as well push. I really didnt know what to do here.
I have a strong hand, but on the other hand, short stack is about to bust. Is folding the correct play? I think this would be wrong since the short stack may double up while I lose the blinds. I would miss this hand. Also, I am not just playing for third. If I wait too long, I will not have enough chips to play with ITM.

Q : would you move in here?
Q : if not push would you call or fold?

I wouldn't have pushed right off the bat. I would have raised to 300 instead of 250 though.

As for the second part of your question, I'd have called.

I ran into almost this exact same situation two days ago, however in my situation, the BB was forced all-in and button was a very loose monster stack. I decided to raise 3BB (which was about 25% of my stack). Still not sure if that was the right thing to do.

FWIW, button and SB both folded and BB sucked out on me with 87o.

With the BB as low as it is, you would have been better off just pushing, so it gives 77,88,99,TT hands less of a reason to play back at you.

Thanks for taking the time.

Do you think folding is totally out of the question?

Yes, I think folding is out of the question.
I don't know why exactly, but I would never fold in this situation. Like you said the short stack may double up while your stack dwindles. If making the money was your main concern folding may be correct, but I think raising is much more profitable especially since you can get a hand like AJ to call you . I like a push better though.

get real. raise to 300 with 1200 chips, then cold call the 500 reraise? i might be the worst player on this site, but i can cleary say pushing or folding is better than raising and calling yourself down to 400.

allin right away isnt unreasonable. folding seems like youre giving way too much up. but i guess im a loser so who knows waht my opinion is worth.

maybe a bigger raise so the big stacks know youre committed to the pot and dont think they can push you off your hand with 55-TT.
