Default Do I need to take Peyton with the 3rd pick (12 teams)??

I hate taking a QB in the first round, but after LT and Alexander, the drop off and risk is so big. . .
Grrr....
My draft is in 20 min. any comments or suggestions or what you have done so far in this spot appreciated.

I'd say yes, he is that good. The drop off with QB's is pretty big too, althought many times it means less. I don't see any other player you should take here, unless you have a lot of confidence in Priest Holmes' ability to stay healthy. If you do, then take Priest. If you don't, go with Peyton.

I'd take Priest in a second.

Just get Larry Johnson. That O Line is so good LJ will be fine if Holmes gets hurt. The Priest upside--ie, can carry a team week-in, week-out--is too good.

I think I will go the Priest route.

Now it seems there is a chance that Manning will go 2nd.

Is this then an auto Alexander, or do some still like Priest more?

I love this stuff by the way.

I like Edge more then both of them. Last year Peyton scored about 25 TD's that were play action passes in the red zone. I think defenses will look for this more and more this year and lead to more running TD's hence making James the better pick.

What is the scoring like? If you get 6 points for passing touchdowns, I think Peyton is a no brainer. He is probably who I would pick regardless, but if it is a 4 pt/passing TD league that makes Priest a little closer.
