Default Irish Hold \'em .. has anyone here ever played it?

Do you think any of the onlines will ever have it?

It's a fun game ... a combination of the best parts Omaha and Hold 'em.

Like Omaha, you get dealt 4 hole cards.

Unlike Omaha, any, all or NONE of your hole cards, can count towards the final hand.

It's otherwise played like Hold 'em in regards to the common cards, and the betting rounds.

It's a fun and WILD game, because it truly is a river game. In other words, you truly don't know if you got the nuts, UNTIL the river. Even then, you could be mistaken.

It builds huge pots because of this, and like lowball can drive you batty, but it really is fun to play.

We sometimes play an alternate omaha game we call Topika which is identical to Omaha/8 except you must use exactly 3 from your hand and 2 from the board.

It works out pretty well as there is a lot more variety of what can be out there, lows are relatively hard to get, etc.
