Poker Psychology 101: How to make poker players mad.
There is no such thing as a poker pro.
It's a simple little card game. Basically anyone who plays it for about a year will pick up the concepts to be a good player and win money off the novice players who just don't know how to play the game. Only in poker could they have a celebrity vs pro tournament and the celebrity win. Or have someone who has played only a year make it to the finals in a tournament against the "pros". Do you think Tiger Woods would lose to someone who has only golfed a year? Of course luck also plays a major role. Luck in cards has a standard deviation and of course there are going to be those who fall outside the range on both sides. Those on the negative end are really bad at the game and those on the positive are the "pros." Oh and before I forget. Online poker is NOT the same as playing with a real deck of cards. Poker is the only thing that everyone does better when they're drunk.
Poker is just an excuse for guys to get drunk. Poker is just an excuse for guys to get drunk while hanging out with only guys in a homoerotic circle-jerk style formation. Poker is for guys who are so lame that they need to spend their weekends getting drunk while hanging out with only guys in a homoerotic circle-jerk style formation.

After the coffee came out through my nose and I messed the monitor all up, my wife came in to see if I was ok. Apparently she read this thread as I was getting cleaned up and finding the windex.
She just shook her head and went to bed. No sense of humor, that woman.
