New to the table. Table appears to be loose/passive, generally. Reads on Villains: LAG.
Preflop: Hero is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. UTG calls, 3 folds, MP2 calls, MP3 raises, Hero calls, Button calls, 2 folds, UTG calls, MP2 calls. Flop: (11.50 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5 players) UTG checks, MP2 checks, MP3 bets, Hero ??? Also, what is the plan for the rest of the hand? |

Re: AA, Jack Kicker: Response to flop bet
pf i don't like, but meh
I raise the flop trying to put as many bets as possible in there. Re-evaluate on the turn based on action. |

Re: AA, Jack Kicker: Response to flop bet
The key here is the pot is big. You raise, they'll still call despite drawing near dead. The more you pump the pot here, the more chance they'll call you down till the end.

Re: AA, Jack Kicker: Response to flop bet
I agre you want as many bet in the pot here as possible but will raising do that or will it cost you 1 small bet? MP3 will call but will the others?

[/ QUOTE ] I think we might get some cold-callers in a pot this size, which isn't bad with our equity. But even if we don't, we're protecting the guys behind us from getting odds to draw to their 5-outers/gutshots. We're either forcing them to give up their share of the (large) pot or make a mistake by calling without proper odds. |

Re: AA, Jack Kicker: Response to flop bet
What limit/site is this?
3-bet or fold preflop (with folding being pretty bad unless you know MP3 to be the Rock of Gibraltar). Raise the flop. Cap if MP3 3-bets and you get at least 2 cold-callers trapped between the two of you. You have crazy equity in this pot. Turn and river: I think a club on either street is worth a bet (or 2 or 3 or 4). If PFR checks to me on a turn blank, I'm betting. nh Tom |
