This table is full of good players. Why am I staying? Because I lost money to good players and Im stubborn and want it back. Plus I want to show them I can hold my end. Up til now, I probably look like an idiot fish. I've raised the button and cutoff about half the time and I've been getting 3 bet everywhere. Villain so far I've seen is a very good player. If I had to take a shot at stats, I'd say 28/20/2.5. Very smart player so far though, hes been making some 2+2 moves.

What's the flop raise for? Did you raise just for a free card? I'd probably show this down. I like your turn check cuz a check-raise sucks with outs. I'd call the river.

river was close. With that board, I just don't really see a lot of 3 betting hands I'm beating. Am I beating enough to call? (including flop donk)

Why did you cap preflop? for value or to have good pot odds to call down unimproved? If it was to make calling down easier, you should call the river. Otherwise, if he's a reasonable player, I think you lose here more than 1/7 .. so river fold is ok. My guess is that he has AK, pocket pair > 66, or somethign like AJ or AT.

Preflop cap is fine when villain has been liberally 3-betting in the SB.

I like the flop raise, even in the worst case scenarios you have quite a few outs.

On the river, I don't see what you can beat except KQ, and splitting with AQ. The fact you have the Ad makes it less likely he was also on a draw. Looks like a PP or AJ/AT.

I would be inclined to call if the table has been running over me, e.g. I have been doing a lot of raising preflop, folding postflop, and now I fear people are starting to make plays at me. Ordinarily it looks like a fold though.

You really shouldn't think like that. Ever. Inflating the pot preflop just to have better pot odds with A high later on is just compounding errors. It's highly flawed.

I believe in his case, it was for value.

He's probably 3-betting light against a steal. I think you're ahead enough to warrant a call.

I fold this on the river, a 3 bet from the BB from a MP raise means trouble for an UI AQ. You are behind any PP AK,AJ,A10, and any heart.

not sure if there is enough of a chance that he has a draw here (could be getting weird with KdQd even) to warrant calling the river....but it might be worth a shot.

This is tilting if you ask me.
Stubborn and wanting it back are both bad enough (kinda been there/done that) but 'wanting to show them you can hold up your end' is even worse IMO.
I don't think this is a very healthy menality at all.
