Default Going to the Bike this weekend

This upcoming weekend I figure I'll take a drive and go to the Bike. I'll be playing 10-20 probably.

Can anyone give me any tips or info? I'll be staying with friends, so that's taken care of. What is the level of play like? Should I be looking for a higher game perhaps?

Any interesting info welcomed. It'll be my first time there (sadly enough).

I haven't played the 10/20 at the Bike in months, but it was generally not a very good game compared to others at similar limits in LA.

If you're looking for action, you might consider the Commerce's 9/18. The rake is worse ($4+1 jackpot versus $3 at the Bike), but the players are much more so.

I've only been there once, but I'd recommend 20-40 over 10-20 there. The 20-40 was a really loose action game when I sat while the 10-20 looked rockish and I've heard it's often propped up. Also, Commerce is literally down the street. I highly recommend you split your time and visit both. 20-40 is great at Commerce and 9-18 is excellent also. I'd say if you feel much more comfortable at 10-20, go to Commerce and play the 9-18 for better action.

The 10/20 will normally only run one table, and it will not be very prosperous. On the weekends, you may find the 8/16 there to generate bigger pots. The 20/40 will be a much better game also.

Since you'll have your car, check out both the Bike and Commerce since they're geographically so close to one another. What the others have said about the games seems correct. If you play 15-30 or higher at Commerce, you get free food. Commerce will likely be crowded as a tournament is in progress.

A big advantage of the Bike is getting to meet our own Rick Nebiolo.

I've played the 10/20 at the bike on about 3 separate occasions. The game was good, even though there was only 1 table going.

I prefer commerce now, however. I haven't played the 9/18, but I've heard it's wild, you might want to check it out. If you can step up to 15/30, the free food service is excellent.
