Default 9G Vegas Chips

Hi all -- I have an awful set of diamond chips and I want a new set of chips, but I don't have the funds for a nice set of Chipcos or Nexgens. I like the 9G Vegas chips withOUT the vegas labels -- with the blank centers, so that hopefully I can put labels in the center.

My question is where can I get these 9G chips w/o labels, CAN you put labels on them, and has anybody handled them? How are they?

Sure. Ten, I know you're the man around here, lol.

w/ the labels: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...01063&rd=1

w/out (the ones I'm interested in, "Blank Style")

I don't know if these have the recessed center for labels, if the labels will stick, and all that goodness.

Honestly, I have not found a better chip for the money then the 10g faux clay chips. They are cheap as hell (.06 cents a chip) and are the closest I have ever seen a non clay chip come to being a clay chip. They are lighter then clay chips and have no edge spots.

But hands down they are the best chips ive handled for the price. The RPT nexgens are really nice too, but are much more expensive. You can pick up 500 of the 10g faux clay dice chips for $30..like $40 for the set with the case and such.

those are the chips I am talking about. Honestly and hands down the best cheap set I have ever owned.

the faux clay chips are indeed nice, they feel and sound nearly like a clay chip at .06ea. Side by side with diamonds they're in a whole different league. Labels WILL NOT stick to them, I tried.

I like my nexgens better than the faux clay I have anyway. I would buy the "river poker tour" with the dual edgespots if I had it to do over.

Those "vegas" chips linked look like the inlay area is much bigger than the 1in label. dunno.

Buy a few of each that you're considering from 5star, they will sell 1 of each color.

I have sample set of the 10g faux clay, and even though they are not an expensive chip they dont have metal insert so you dont get that sound of a pvc chip or any diamonds or round spots on the edge.

I think the best thing to do is to go on ebay and find one of those sample sets that has 14 or 15 different chip styles in it and see which you like the best. Plus if you play the numbers on ebay you can get one of those graphic plastic chip sets for $10 plus about 20-30 shipping and save alot more if you bought them elsewhere.

Oh wait... I just noticed you wrote "can't afford a nice set of chipcos or nexgens"... The nexgens are $0.20 (in case you're thinking they're $1 chips)

Please clarify: Diamonds don't like labels, 6c faux clays don't like labels, or both kinds don't like labels?

faux clay don't like labels. I just tried a diamond and it stuck a little better but would never stay during play.
