66 on the Button
Did I play this right pre-flop? Also, do you think that slowing down on the turn could have gotten me an extra bet on the river?
MP1 has shown down some questionable hands, and BB is TAG. Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is Button with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 2 folds, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB 3-bets, MP1 caps, Hero calls, BB calls. Re: 66 on the Button
Well played.
No point just calling the turn and raising the river because it will probably net you the same amount anyway. I would consider calling the flop 3-bet and raising the turn against a less aggressive opponent but your line is good. |

Re: 66 on the Button
I just limp in preflop, but I understand your reasoning for trying to isolate MP1.
Other than that, I play it the same. |

Re: 66 on the Button
Nothing I change here. BB's most likely holding a top pair - don't think slowing down on the turn buys you an extra river bet. I like it.

Re: 66 on the Button
I think that raise pf was very good to try to isolate, and after it gets capped i think u have the right idea, see flop for set, if not then fold, nice catch, i think it was played great the whole way.

[ QUOTE ]
Once it got capped, I called with every intention of folding had I not hit my set. [/ QUOTE ] This just caught my eye, I don't know if I would have thrown this away immediately on a 522 board (ignoring the fact that we now know BB had aces). You'll be ahead here a fair amount of the time. |

Re: 66 on the Button
I'd probably wait until the turn to go into war, but I think raising the flop is fine too.
Preflop is fine. |

Re: 66 on the Button
I don't like the raise PF.
Yes Yes one limper, but 66 is tougher to play - especially with a raise, in this spot - if your not sure the blinds will fold. Other than that nice hand. Keep putting chips in the pot every spot you can - no need to slow down. Sarge[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] |
