Bet the turn, fold if raised, take free showdown UI.

yeah i could do that. or call the flop, re-raise the turn. i'm not sure that i like any of them more than the others. i mean with no stats i have no idea how often he has to have a pair here but i'm going to go ahead and say that with most players its at least 75% of the time.

Betting the turn depends on villain. No reads I'd say checking behind is fine.

Yeah, I agree that unknown 10/20'ers usally have something here (some pair or the straight draw) a lot of the time. Not saying what i suggested in my previosu post is optimal, but it's a different line .

How i've handled the situation so far:

I fold some of the time (maybe 10%), take the line you did a lot of the time (60%) and bet the turn and take SD UI the rest.

But I haven't really got a clue as to what's optimal.

I would check any turn that didn't improve your hand except the King. The King, I bet. BB has a pair most of the time, but he has to be thinking that you probably just paired if you didn't have him overpaired in the first place. If he has a pair he now loses to 99, JJ, QQ, KK, AA, AK, KQ, AJ, KJs, maybe TT if he has a 9. I consider the King an out and bet accordingly. If you get called, check behind UI.

I don't know how 10/20 unknowns defend their BB, but I'm thinking raising the flop doesn't have to be a default play.

How often does he really have, say, 87o or even less? How often will he have pocket 3's and lay them down?

If Villain does have 87o, then taking the free card on the turn kind of invites a river bluff. On the other hand, the king on the turn (followed by the river blank) isn't such a great sequence of cards for us, in terms of acutally ending up with the best hand.

I don't know. Playing ace-high against an aggressive, unpredictable defender isn't easy, and I'd imagine that's what a 10/20 unknown is.

yeah 10/20 fish are definetly very unpredictable and loose. i notice that 3 betting the flop with A high after they CR the flop often leads to a fold which means they are CRing with nothing or weak pairs
