No reads on the villain. The flush draw hits on the turn giving me fold equity for the bluff checkraise, as well as the high likelihood im ahead here. He 3bets its an easy laydown?

Did i play this right?

I'd fold the flop.

I would also bet-call the turn.

Why are we bet/calling this turn? Seems we're losing to the flush here a lot more often than we're winning with a pair of 8's

Do we have odds to chase another 8/Q here? We're getting 7:1 to call this raise and we maybe have 5 outs(though I think we're drawing dead honestly)

You bet the turn because you don't want villain to take a free card with overcards or a lone club. You call the turn bet because he might raise overcards with a club or a seven and take a free showdown.
