Default Commerce, Non tourney time

I was at the Commerce Feb 14th thru the 18th. I played 20/40 and 40/80. Question is for those of you who play these games on a regular, or at least semi regular basis, is there much difference in the play during tournament time and just a normal day in California. I no there are times when the games would be very tough, I was just lucky enough not to see one. I did run across some very good players, just not a over abundance of them.

The biggest difference for me was a lot of players I didn't know. Some were very good, some were mediocre, not many were horrid. I guess if they're coming into town for a tourney, they're likely to play at least tolerably well. I would say the games played slightly tougher during the tourney, although I didn't play all that much.

One big difference is that there was no must move during the tourney.

Thanks Andy for the feed back. I loved the amount of game selection out there. I am from Minnesota and play at Canterbury if I am playing live. If I go to play here and it is a tough line up at Canterbury I just can't play. I know my limitation's. Before anybody from this area who know's the room say's that they think that the 30/60 here is soft from what I've seen in my trip to Cali and trips to Vegas, If it's a tough lineup it's a tougher game. I'm talking about the better players. I would guess timing is everything because we know how week it can be also.
