My guess is that UTG called two cold on the flop with A6o or something. Or maybe he has 99/44 and slowplayed a set.

I would probably call down, like you did, but I wouldn't expect to win. The river card, which completely rules out 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] X [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (and now pulls any 9 ahead of you anyway), wouldn't cheer me up any.

My experience in 1/2 6-max is pretty limited, but I'm thinking UTG's turn checkraise versus two opponents (and he had three opponents when he checked) probably means trouble.

When I saw the 6 on the turn, I really wanted to check through, but there were still 4 fricken players in the hand, so I felt I had to bet. I think calling the turn bet is reasonable, but after the 9 falls, it was pretty damn hard to imagine I was ahead. But then it was only one more bet, so I dunno... I hoped he was on a pure bluff I guess. The pot was large.
