Default Interstate 10 - MS, LA, TX, NM, AZ > NV

Besides the cardrooms in Biloxi & Gulfport & New Orleans... Anyone know any other casinos in Texas maybe?
Or the short span that I-10 is in New Mexico?
And what are the good casinos (good countable Blackjack games OR some good NL action) in Arizona around I-10, speaking of Tuscan & Phoneix and on up to the Las Vegas Area (No need to mention Laughlin)

Plus, anyone have any advice on some good food, speed traps, etc. on that route (Houston, San Antonio, El Paso, NM, AZ)? It seems more suited than going west via I-40

thx

Just when it seems like the ride is getting dull, you'll see a sign that says, "Entering Texas", or "Welcome to Texas", or something like that.

It will immediately be followed by another sign that says something like "El Paso, 990 miles".

And you will hang your head and cry.

There are two card rooms in Tucson, haven't been there so I can not fill you in on them.

Phoenix has several rooms. You will not find NL here execpt in a tournament, but you will find 2-150 and 5-150 spread limit games, plays pretty close to NL.

The most popular is CAZ located at SR101 and Indian Bend road, large room (one of the largest in the US), lots of games spread for HE, 3/6 up to 75/150. The security is a little over zellious, you can not bring anything in to drink like a bottle of water, the food is excellent. Games are good. If you are here during one of their irregular weekend MTT they are fine to play.

Personally I play at the Fort McDowell more than CAZ. Smaller room, with top games of 2-150 and 6-12 with a few exceptions on Thrus and Fridays when they get a 15-30 game going. Food is fine, staff is a blast and good for the most part. SR101 and Shea, the Shea to SR87 hang a left and you are there.

Concerning Phoenix area:

The nl in Arizona is kinda worthless, others have discussed the structure. Percula did a good rundown of the cardrooms. The 20/40 at Casino AZ is a sweet game, and I do like the cardroom. I would still, however, highly reccomend going to the Fort if you play 6/12 on down. Lower rake and friendlier service more than make worth it.

Not sure about the BJ, since I don't count. But to my untrained eye the rules look fairly good compared to vegas strip. I have no idea how strict they are on counting, but there are a bunch of counters who post in Other Gambling.
