I hate this hand

I was lost, and did not know how to play this hand. I had reads, but assume none for the time-being.

Party Poker (6 max, 4 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Hero raises, Button calls, SB 3-bets, BB calls, Hero calls, Button calls

Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB bets, BB calls, Hero calls, Button calls

Turn: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(4 players)</font>
SB bets, BB calls, Hero raises, Button calls, SB calls, BB calls

I don't understand the turn raise. With so many players and calls already in front of you I think it is unlikely you are ahead here. I call flop, call turn, fold river like a passive donk.

well its a hand i felt very uncomfortable with. I don't know if I'm ahead, but I figured by my raise I can make button fold a hand thats either better than mine or has lots of outs against mine. My raise is for a free showdown here. I figure there are too many draws here and I want to fold to a 3 bet. I don't know what other line to take.

Turn would be fine if you weren't playing against 2 guys who cold called and a preflop 3 bettor raising an UTG pfr and a cold caller.

I think I'd tighten up against this crowd in EP.

And now the turn raise does looks better. I think it's the right play. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's the right.
