Flop: (4 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players) SB checks, BB checks, MP3 bets, Hero calls, SB calls, BB folds. Turn: (3.50 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, MP3 bets, Hero calls, SB calls. River: (6.50 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) SB checks, MP3 bets, Hero raises, SB folds, MP3 calls. Final Pot: 10.50 BB Normally I would pop this turn for a raise but would this be an example of where it is better to sit back and call. |

Re: Working on toning down my aggression
Explain to me why calling the turn is better then raising? Not that you are right or wrong, but what is the thought process?

Re: Working on toning down my aggression
I figure a raise will fold the SB most of the time and MP3 some of the time (if he's a smart player). When I just call I am getting SB to call and MP3 to bet out the river (assuming he's not a passive player). When I throw a raise in here the MP3 will be more inclined to call my raise as it is just one more bet.

Re: Working on toning down my aggression
i dont think a turn raise is terrible. if the sb has a big heart you want him to pay the max to see if he can outdraw you, no? and i doubt mp3 is going anywhere unless another heart does come and he is pretty darn sure he is beat.
